Elections for positions on the Board occur at the end of each year.

The Duties of the Directors shall include but not be limited to the following:

• President
The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the club and shall be subject to the control of the Board of Directors and have general supervision, direction and control of the business and the officers of the Club. The President shall preside at all meetings of Wethersfield Soccer Club and at all meetings of the Board of Directors. The President shall be an ex-officio member of all committees and shall have the general powers and duties of management usually vested in the President of an organization and shall have other powers and duties as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors or by the Bylaws.

• Competitive Director
The Competitive Director shall be responsible for creating, implementing and distributing the Wethersfield Soccer Club curriculum for the Competitive Travel Program. The Competitive Director will determine the best way to deliver this curriculum and work closely with the Director of Coaching to make sure that the team coaching staff are using the curriculum. The Competitive Director will also be responsible for coordinating and organizing Club sanctioned Tournaments, including and not limited to approving rosters, being the liaison between the club and the hosting Tournament Director. The Competitive Director will work in tandem with the Director of Coaching to facilitate the end of season tryouts. In a rare circumstance and in the absence or disability of the President, the Competitive Director, if so requested, shall perform all the duties of the President and when so acting, shall have all of the powers of, and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President.

• Secretary
The Secretary shall keep a book of minutes of meetings at such place as the Board of Directors may order, of all meetings of the Club and all meetings of the Board of Directors, with the time and place of holding, whether regular or special, and if special how authorized. The Secretary shall keep, or cause to be kept, a book or books containing true and correct copies of all documentation submitted to the Secretary by any Directors or officers of the Club, including copies of correspondence sent in the name of the Club by any Director or officer, to be kept in the official records of the Club in a current and up-to-date status at all times. The Secretary shall tender all such documents and records to the successor Secretary immediately following the next annual election.

• Treasurer
The Treasurer shall keep and maintain, or cause to be kept and maintained, adequate and correct accounts of the properties and business transactions of the organization, including accounts of its assets, liabilities, capital, receipts, disbursements, gains, losses, surplus and any other accounts. The Treasurer shall solicit budgets from the appropriate parties to create the unapproved budget for the Wethersfield Soccer Club’s annual spend. The Treasurer shall deposit all monies and other valuables in the name of and to the credit of the organization at least monthly. The Treasurer shall disburse the funds of the organization pursuant to the annual budget approved by the Board of Directors. All accounts shall be paid by check or club debit card, which shall bear the signature of the Treasurer, and/or the President. Disbursements for non-budgeted expenditures in excess of ($500) dollars must be approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. The President may approve non-budgeted expenditures up to and including ($500) dollars. The Treasurer shall render to the President and Board of Directors, whenever requested, an account of all his/her transactions as Treasurer and of the financial condition of the organization. The books of accounts shall be at all reasonable times open to inspection by any Director. The Treasurer shall tender all such records and accounts to the successor Treasurer immediately following the next annual election.

• Registrar
The Registrar shall organize and coordinate all procedures for player registration within the Registrar's jurisdiction, including, but not limited to: developing registration forms, verifying and maintaining copies of player birth certificates, registering players, providing player passes, transfer and drop forms to coaches, maintaining current and past copies of the Club database, tracking refunds to maintain accurate registered player records, providing flighting forms, field registration forms and other administrative forms, as requested, to the Board or Directors and Coaches. The Registrar shall, in conjunction with the Competitive Director maintain a waiting list of players who desire to be placed on teams in the event of an opening on a team. The Registrar shall attend the annual tryout sessions and shall notify all appropriate parties of the due dates for all necessary registration forms. The Registrar shall keep all registration documentation, which shall be deemed part of the official records of the Club, and shall tender all such documents and records to the successor Registrar immediately following the next annual election, and shall have such other powers and performs such other duties as may prescribed by the Board of Directors or by the Bylaws.

• Field Coordinator
The Field Coordinator shall be responsible for securing, all game and practice fields for the club and attending various community meetings representing the Club for the purpose of maintaining and securing new fields and procuring lighted fields. Duties of the Field Coordinator shall include, but are not limited to, interfacing with Wethersfield Town Hall or Wethersfield Parks and Recreation Dept. where the Clubs trains or plays games, securing use permits where needed and providing copies to coaches, ensuring safety of the environment of the home fields including practice fields, contracting for layout and painting of game fields.

• Communications/Community Outreach Director
The Communications/Community Outreach Director shall be responsible for the overall management, coordination and development of club wide communication, including, but not limited to, all announcements regarding fund- raisers, community events, designing flyers, creating survey forms and will use our digital footprint as the vehicle to deliver this communication. The Communications/Community Outreach Director shall also be liaison between entities such as Hartford FC and Hartford Athletics and the club to promote Wethersfield Soccer Club nights.

• Recreation Director
The Recreation Director shall be responsible for identifying, with the assistance of the Competitive Director, the needs of the U4-U8 program, as well as be the sounding board for the Parents of the said segment of the Wethersfield Soccer Club. Additional responsibilities of the Recreation Director shall include, but not limited to, recruiting new parent volunteers, creating the communication for the Recreation segment, soliciting any 3rd party agreements to execute the program (CAS, Soccer XS, UK International, etc.) which will include obtaining a summary of all costs for the Recreation program and provide to the Board of Directors for budgetary purposes. The Recreation Director will work continuously with the Competitive, Coaching, Communications, and Equipment Directors to obtain assistance where applicable in the
Recreational program.

• Director of Coaching
The Director of Coaching (DOC) shall be responsible for developing and improving coaches so that players maximize their potential at all ages. They shall represent the views, ideas, and needs of the coaches and players in the club. The DOC shall create a culture that values, incentivizes, and prioritizes player development by providing continuing education for the coaches through clinics, and holds a minimum of three (3) coaches meetings per season (typically, the beginning of the season, the midway point, and a season ending review). The Director of Coaching will also be responsible, in conjunction with the Competitive Director to assure coaches are performing the approved curriculum and/or to assist them if needed. The Director of Coaching will work in tandem with the Competitive Director to facilitate tryouts at the end of the season.

• Equipment Director
The Equipment Director will be responsible for gathering, coordinating and executing the bulk order for uniforms that happens during the off-season. The Equipment Director will be in charge of the relationship with the vendor of choice that supplies all uniforms to the club. Communicating a clear instruction to the membership on how to order, pick up, and pay for uniforms, as well as confirm that coaches receive any items needed for coaching their teams. The Equipment Directory will be expected to develop a budget for the annual spend on equipment needed for coaches, as well as Wethersfield Soccer Club swag. The Equipment Director will also be responsible for updating the Wethersfield Soccer Store and keeping it up to date with any items that the club will be selling to the membership of the club. The Equipment Director will keep a detailed log of all inventoried items and provide the list at the beginning and end of everyseason which will be forwarded to the Treasurer and President.
